Sustainability report
Reporting our sustainability results is in line with our commitment to give customers, authorities and partners a clear picture of how we act responsibly towards society and the environment.
Why AFSN Actively Reports Sustainability Results
At AFSN, transparency and accountability are core values that drive our approach to sustainability. Actively reporting our sustainability results is an essential part of our commitment to environmental responsibility and aligns with our broader mission to lead the aviation fuel industry toward a low-carbon future.
By publicly sharing our progress on key sustainability goals — such as reducing CO2 emissions, expanding the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and improving operational efficiency — we provide stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and partners, with a clear picture of our environmental impact. This reporting not only demonstrates our commitment to sustainability but also builds trust with our partners and customers who rely on us to meet the highest standards of corporate responsibility.
Our sustainability report will be published in quarter 2 of 2025.
Compliance with Norwegian CSR regulations
AFSN’s sustainability reporting aligns with Norway’s regulations on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which require businesses to act responsibly toward society and the environment. Under Norwegian law, large companies are required to disclose information related to their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. These CSR requirements are designed to ensure that companies are transparent about how their operations impact society and the environment, and that they are making efforts to mitigate negative effects.
In line with these regulations, AFSN's sustainability reporting ensures that:
- We meet CSR disclosure requirements by providing detailed information on our environmental performance, including efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and promote the use of SAF.
- We are in accordance with Norway’s climate goals and the global push toward carbon neutrality, reflecting our role in contributing to the decarbonization of the aviation sector.
- Compliance with the Transparency Act, which mandates businesses to be open about their sustainability efforts, particularly those involving human rights and environmental issues. Our reporting goes beyond compliance by highlighting our proactive approach to sustainability, including partnerships and initiatives aimed at reducing aviation’s carbon footprint.
