AFSN Data Privacy Policy
Aviation Fuelling Services Norway AS, (“AFSN” / “we”), 914 948 681, PO Box 1154 Sentrum, 0107 Oslo is responsible for the processing of your personal information.
1. PERSONAL DATA
AFSN is committed to your privacy and always strives to protect your personal data in the best possible way. AFSN’S goal is to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding protection of personal data. This policy will help you to understand what types of personal data AFSN collects and how they are used.
2. WHY DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We will process the personal data you provide or have given us to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. Once the customer relationship has been established, we will need to process your personal data in order to identify, administrate and manage the client relationship that you are part in. Management of the customer relationship as described in this section 2 includes for example communication with you by e-mail or phone, followup, delivery, invoicing, complaint handling, and nvestigation of your satisfaction. We will also collect your personal data on our website using cookies, including statistics, to improve our services. In addition we may use cookies to send you custom-built ads and promotions, as well as other marketing materials.
3. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?
We will process the personal information you provide or have given us or which we have collected on our website using cookies to manage your customer relationship or to fulfill our obligations to you as a customer . The personal information that AFSN process includes inter alia your VAT number and/or your social security number (if you have provided this), your name and/or company name, date of birth, (if you have provided this), e-mail address, IP address, and phone number.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
AFSN will in some situations obtain your consent in order to process your personal data, and will then have a legal basis to process your data pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Legal basis for the processing of personal data may also be found in Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or in order to take steps at the request of you prior to entering into a contract. Further, legal basis may be found in Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (balancing of interests). The interests pursued by AFSN are set out in section 2 above describing the purpose.
5. RECIPIENTS AND TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The use of your personal data may cause data to be processed together with data in other records both inside and outside the EU/EEA and that your personal data is transferred to and processed by other companies in the Shell Group for the purposes described above in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The data may also be processed with data from or shared with our authorities or partners, such as for third-party providers of payment or credit card services. AFSN is always extremely careful when it comes to such use.
AFSN may transfer your personal data abroad, including to non-EU/EEA countries. Such transfer will only take place when there is a sufficient legal basis. Transfer of data abroad will normally be based on EU Model Clause based agreements. An overview of the company’s use of processors and transfers of personal data abroad can provided by the company upon request.
If all or part of AFSN’s business activities is sold to or integrated with another business, your personal data will be provided to our advisors and also given to the new owner of the business.
5. HOW WILL WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
In order to protect the personal data we process about you, we have implemented several security measures. We have implemented security procedures and technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, such as web browser certification procedures. In addition, we have sufficient firewalls and antivirus programs to protect against and prevent unauthorized access to the network. Physical access to the premises where the information is stored is limited and staff required to be identified for access. We will ensure that only those of our employees that absolutely need access to your personal data will be given such access.
6. HOW LONG WILL AFSN KEEP MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Your personal data will not be stored longer than needed for the purposes mentioned in section 2. As a main rule, your personal data will be deleted when you no longer are a registered customer at AFSN. You should at any time be able to opt out of being a customer.
7. WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT?
Data protection laws grants you certain rights in your capacity as a data subject. You have the right to be informed about our use of your personal data. As such you are given access to this privacy policy at any time and in particular before registration on our website.
A data subject also has the right to: (i) request access to your personal date; (ii) request rectification of your personal data; (iii) request erasure of your personal data; (iv) request restriction of processing of your personal data; (v) request data portability; (vi) object to the processing of your personal data. If the processing of the personal data is based on consent, the employee has the right to withdraw the consent at any time with future effect. A data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection/surveillance authority.
